The amended text in § 209.00593 of Texas Residential Property Owners Protection Act is effective for elections or votes held on or after September 1, 2015. The new code states: “at least 10 days before the date a property owner’s association composed of more than 100 lots disseminates absentee ballots or other ballots to association members for purposes of voting in a board member election, the association must provide notice to the association members soliciting candidates interested in running for a position on the board.”
Due to this new code, we are obligated to ask if you are an eligible property owner who wishes to run for a position on the Board of Directors during this election, and you wish for your name to be placed on the ballot, please be sure to notify the Association at the above address within 10 days; i.e. for our receipt on or before May 27, 2026 to ensure that your name is added to the ballot.
