RSCA Spring 2015 Activity Report

6/10/2015

With the end of the school year and summer quickly approaching, the board of directors wants to remind our residents to slow down on the roads and keep your eyes open for children who may be out and about in the neighborhood. Parents may also want to take this opportunity to go over bike and golf cart safety with their children. By working together we are more likely to enjoy another safe summer in Royal Shores.

The RSCA Board of Directors would like to take the opportunity to update residents on the projects we have initiated or completed in the past several months:

  • Power washing the gazebos
  • Re-staining/sealing the new pier and cleaning the shore line
  • Spring maintenance around Pond Park and Trellis
  • Completed preliminary landscape design for the front entrance
  • Installed spring flowers in monument beds and at Pier Park
  • Replaced sod in The Courts and over-seeded areas along Royal Shores Drive
  • Installed bollards to secure Pier Park
  • Replaced “Park Rules” and “No Solicitation” signs andreplaced broken lights in the parks
  • Completed the 2014 Financial Audit and filed the 2014 RSCATax Return
  • Renewed contracts for: landscaping, mosquito control, pond maintenance, irrigation service, and Stormwater Solutions for equipment, maintenance and discharge contracts
  • Finalized 2015-2016 Well Water Permit, to save $15,000 for the upcoming permit year

This list is not exhaustive and we are moving forward with additional landscape and maintenance projects. Among issues board members will be addressing in the coming months will be neighborhood security and progress on long-range land management and landscaping plans.
